The American Jewish community has become increasingly aware that Jewish eduation must be a lifelong endeavor and not limited to the elementary and teenage years. Through the Adult Education Department, Orloff CAJE conducts such programs as:
- The Ruth E. Cohan Winter Hostel
An exciting, three day, educational experience, co-sponsored by the David Posnack JCC featuring presentations by distinguished and stimulating lecturers.
Dates: February 24 - February 26, 2008.
- Jewish Film Series
A joint program sponsored by the David Posnack JCC in cooperation with Orloff CAJE highlighting films of Jewish interest.
- The Ruth E. Cohan Jewish Book Review Series
A monthly book review series, co-sponsored by Broward County Library taking place at seven libraries throughout Broward County. Six books are reviewed at each site, beginning in November and continuing through Apirl.
- The Ruth E. Cohan Jewish Book Review Brunch
Tuesday May 4, 2009 This annual branch is a chance for Orloff CAJE to thank our library review volunteers, and librarians from around the country, for their participation, as well as to invite them to share their ideas and concerns regarding the Ruth E. Cohan Jewish Book Review Series.
- Summer Film Institute
June 17 - August4, 2009. A Selection of contemporary films with discussion. Held annually.
- Transatlantic Jewish Heritage Cruise with Scholar at Sea
Dr. Abraham GIttelson, December 1 - 15, 2008. Held annually.
